The documents required for the application of a temporary residency are:

1.	Two copies of the residency visa or the tourist card
2.	Birth certificate (an original copy translated into Spanish by a judicial interpreter)
3.	Marriage certificate (if wife solicits in a joint form)
4.	Letter of guaranty signed by a reliable person, Dominican or legal resident, legalized by a notary.
5.	If the guarantor is not the father or the spouse of the applicant, affidavit signed by the person and two witnesses, legalized by a notary and a solvency test.
6.	Work contract ( if the applicant works in the country)
7.	Good conduct certificate given by the corresponding Dominican authorities.
8.	Medical exams made in the Dominican Republic (blood tests and X-rays)
9.	4 pictures 2 x 2 (from the front)
10.	2 pictures 2 x 2 (from the side)
11.	Forms signed by the applicant

Once the application is approved, the applicant will receive his ID and his provisional residency card.
